The major achievement of the Institute has been enabling many of the youth and women, across length and breadth of the state, acquire decent livelihood by way of sustainable micro-enterprises and promising employment opportunities. Since its inception, more than 1,70,000 youth and women have been skillfully empowered and provided placement or self-employment in several sectors like apparel, automotive, construction, electrical, electronics, food processing, IT&ITES, retail, solar energy, etc. Good number of trainees have emerged as successful entrepreneurs, with turnover in lakhs per month and providing employment to many more. There are success stories of international mark with awards and rewards from the Government. Some of them marked their presence with innovations in their domains.

Working in partnership with several union ministries/departments such as Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, National Council of Rural Institutes, etc. and with state level entities such as Department of Youth Services, SC Corporation, TRICOR, Women and Child Welfare Department, CRIDA, etc. is another dimension of its achievement. Similarly, collaborations with premier industries such as TVS Motor Company Ltd., Micromatic Machine Tools Pvt. Ltd., Schneider Electric India, etc. evidences the importance of the skill development initiatives of the Institute.
