Skills and knowledge are the key instruments for economic prosperity. Enabling rural India with unhindered access to latest technologies, opportunities and strategies for rejuvenation of rural livelihoods holds the key for sustainable rural empowerment. Towards this empowerment, Swamy Ramananda Tirtha Rural Institute has emerged in the year 1995 and was inaugurated by our former Prime Minister Late Sri P.V.Narasimha Rao for pro-active rural development initiatives in the state based on the ideology envisaged in the National Policy of Education (NPE) 1986 following Gandhian Principles and Bhoodan Movement. SRTRI strongly believes that the holistic development of human resources would be the only permanent solution for rural poverty eradication. This approach assumes the tasks of empowering the poor in several interrelated aspects human development viz. technical skills, interpersonal skills, entrepreneurial skills, soft skills, values and ethics, etc. The core mission of the Institute rests upon the concept of building the capacities of rural poor, especially youth and women for improved living standards and quality of life.
